Terahertz wellness devices explained: iTeraCare, iTeraBio and IonSleep

A plain-language guide to the iTeraCare series, iTeraBio and IonSleep in Uganda: what they are, how people use them and who should avoid them.

Terahertz wellness devices explained: iTeraCare, iTeraBio and IonSleep

Home wellness devices have become a popular part of self-care routines in Uganda. Here is a straightforward guide to the devices we carry, so you can choose with confidence.

What is terahertz technology?

Terahertz waves sit between microwaves and infrared light on the electromagnetic spectrum. They are non-ionising, which means they do not carry the kind of energy found in X-rays. Wellness devices such as iTeraCare use this range of frequencies in a handheld, home-use format.

iTeraCare series

The iTeraCare series are handheld devices that you move slowly over the body. Customers use them as part of a relaxation routine, after exercise or at the end of a long day.

iTeraBio

iTeraBio combines terahertz with PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) and graphene heating, and has more modes. It suits people who want a fuller routine or a device for the whole family.

IonSleep

IonSleep is a bedtime device that uses negative ions and relaxation principles to help you wind down. It works best alongside good sleep habits.

Who should not use these devices

  • People with a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device.
  • Pregnant women.
  • Anyone on open wounds or areas of active bleeding.

An honest note

These are wellness devices, not medical devices. They can be a pleasant, relaxing part of looking after yourself, but they do not replace a diagnosis or treatment from a doctor. If you have pain or symptoms that do not go away, please see a health professional.
